Wheels
Wheel Brands
The showroom at Youngblood Auto & Tire displays many different examples of custom alloy wheels. However, because the types and designs of alloy wheels are seemingly limitless, space doesn’t permit us to display all the different brands and styles of wheels we can provide. Custom wheels are one of our specialties, and we are able to provide virtually any type or size of wheel you desire. When you’re ready for a new set of alloy wheels, our wheel specialists can assist you in your selection, and our service center can mount and balance these with your existing tires (providing they fit), or with a new set of tires.
Wheel Size Specifications / An Explanation
A typical wheel size number will look like this: 16 x 8 - 6-100 40S
The first number (16) is the diameter of the wheel, measured from rim to rim across its center. The second number (8) is the wheel’s width. This is measured from one rim to the other, from front to back, across the wheel’s barrel. The third number (6-100) indicates the bolt pattern; 6 for six bolts, and 100 for the measurement in millimeters from bolt to bolt, across the wheel’s center. Bolts are measured from their center axis, and the centers for these bolts are placed on a circle; so for an odd number of bolts (like 5, for instance), 100 would represent the diameter of this bolt pattern circle, in millimeters. The number 40 represents the wheel’s offset, which is the distance in millimeters between a wheel’s centerline (inside to outside) and the mounting surface of its hub. The final specification (S) stands for the wheel’s color. In this case, ‘S’ represents silver. There are other specifications beyond these typical wheel numbers, which designate alloy types and manufacturing methods.
