About Us

Our History

Youngblood Auto & Tire was founded by Mike Youngblood in September, 1994, and is still under the same ownership. The business has grown with our community, and we are now in a new building on Louis Hanna West, just south of La Frontera. As we’ve grown, we have gained recognition from major manufacturers, which have allowed us to develop an extensive line of high quality brands. Over the years, Mike has handpicked a great team of representatives and service technicians. The collective expertise of these team members has enabled us to provide a wide range of automotive services for individual customers as well as commercial clients.

Our Locations

To serve you better, Youngblood Auto and Tire maintains two locations in Austin. 

Our automotive service center in North Austin provides both tire and mechanical services, and is conveniently located at 375 Louis Hanna West, across State Highway 45 from the retail stores at La Frontera (on the eastbound frontage), just west of IH-35 from Dell. Our south location ( a tire center only) is open at 4811 East 7th Street. At this location we provide complete tire services for all vehicles and for many different types of commercial equipment. Currently, mechanical services are available from our North Austin location only. For tire services at our south location, please call: (512) 386-5501. 

For commercial vehicles, we provide 24/7 mobile roadside tire services, repairing flats and replacing blow-outs. Our mobile tire technicians can also provide jump starts. 

Our Tire Inventory

We stock a larger inventory of tires than most tire stores. However, the range of tires being made today is vast, and no tire center can stock them all. Here’s where we provide another advantage over many area tire retailers. The main distributer warehouse for most of our tires is only a few minutes away from our service center. This means our “virtual inventory” is larger than most tire stores in the state. For you, this means less waiting, and a greater probability of being able to get the exact tires you’ve selected. 

Our Warranties

As one of the few locally owned auto repair and tire stores in central Texas, we are a rarity in the current environment of large corporate automotive enterprises. Because of this, some may be concerned that our warranties are less universal than those from corporate stores. However, our membership in a large national network of independent automotive service centers means our warranties are valid nationwide. Our service representatives will be happy to supply you with additional details about all our product and service warranties.

Our Environment

Although it might appear differently on the surface, the nitty gritty world of motor vehicle repair is one of the greenest, most environmentally friendly businesses there is. That’s because the engine and drive-train maintenance we perform translates directly into improved gas mileage. And better gas mileage means better energy conservation, and lower emissions. Well maintained tires produce the same positive benefits, and our recycling program makes good use of renewable resources like old batteries, engine oil, and metal parts. Like you, we live and work in this community, and we’re intent on making a positive contribution to a cleaner and healthier environment.

Our Website

We went online in 2000 with our first website, and for over a decade our site remained basically the same. However, we wanted a site with more intuitive navigation, more information, easier access from mobile devices, and a better appearance. For these reasons, we recently launched our new website, and we hope it will become a valuable resource for our community.
